Martin Andreas Duncker studied in Heidelberg and, following the first state examination, he received his doctorate at the University of Zurich under Prof. Dr. Brigitte Tag in medical law. This was followed by his clerkship at the district court of Heidelberg as well as in Mannheim and Detroit, Michigan/USA. Martin Andreas Duncker is attorney with SCHLATTER since 2007 focusing on bank and capital market law, law of the health professiones, data protection, product liablity. He has been a partner in the firm since 2014.
Martin Andreas Duncker advises a large number of companies and entrepreneurs in the field of general commercial law. The focus is on distribution law, data protection and compliance, contract and product liability law as well as law of the health professions. As co-editor of the "Bearbeitungs- und Prüfungsleitfaden: Neues Datenschutzrecht" (FCH Verlag, 2019) and both a TÜV Rheinland and and IHK certified compliance officer, he supports the management in organizing the company with the aim of achieving the best possible entrepreneurial result with rule-compliant and honest behavior of all employees. In addition, his field of activity includes the drafting of contracts, general terms and conditions, process descriptions and product documents (B2B and B2C) as well as the prosecution of claims in court.
A special focus is the comprehensive consultation of health care professionals, practices and MVZs. Not with the view of the know-it-all from the outside. But as an advisor with the claim to solve problems and to advance the practices.
As a specialist lawyer for banking law and capital market law, Martin Andreas Duncker also supports banks and financial service providers - in particular in sales, contract drafting, regulatory issues and as counsel in court proceedings. Martin Andreas Duncker is a speaker and author of several specialist articles in the field of banking and financial services and an examiner for the Stuttgart Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Karlsruhe Chamber of Industry and Commerce for taking the expert examination in accordance with § 34f GewO (financial investment brokerage) and § 34i GewO (real estate loan brokerage).
Martin Andreas Duncker is a member of the Banking Law and Capital Markets Law Working Group of the German Bar Association, appointed Compliance Officer of several companies and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of an asset manager.
