Martin Andreas Duncker studied in Heidelberg and, following the first state examination, he received his doctorate at the University of Zurich under Prof. Dr. Brigitte Tag. This was followed by his clerkship at the district court of Heidelberg as well as in Mannheim and Detroit, Michigan/USA.
Martin Andreas Duncker has worked for SCHLATTER in the fields of banking and capital market law and trade and commercial law since 2007. As attorney specializing in banking law and capital market law, Martin Andreas Duncker advises clients in the field of financial services, payment services, and capital investments. Besides representing banks and financial service providers in court proceedings, another focus of his lies on payment transactions, compliance for commercial enterprises as well as on advising financial service providers and payment institutions regarding supervisory authorization procedures.
Martin Andreas Duncker has been appointed examinant by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Karlsruhe (IHK Karlsruhe) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Stuttgart Region (IHK Stuttgart) for conducting the expert knowledge exam for the appointment as examined financial adviser (geprüfte(r) Finanzanlagenfachmann/-frau IHK) and is certified compliance officer (IHK). He is a member of the working group for banking law and capital market law of the German Bar Association and of the working group for banking law and capital market law of the bar association of Heidelberg.
