Construction and real estate law

SCHLATTER provides comprehensive advice on all matters relating to public and private construction and real estate law, including public procurement law.

SCHLATTER not only has decades of experience in these areas, but also an outstanding reputation in the Rhine-Neckar region. The construction and real estate law team consists of highly qualified specialist lawyers in construction and architectural law and administrative law, who successfully tackle the ever-growing legal challenges of complex real estate and construction projects. SCHLATTER's clients include public clients such as cities, municipalities, special-purpose associations, regional and other corporations, foundations, as well as property developers, construction companies, medium-sized craft businesses, architects, and investors.

In public building law, SCHLATTER advises municipalities, companies, and private individuals on all matters relating to building planning and building regulations law, as well as related areas of administrative law, such as development law and environmental law. We support both builders in enforcing their building plans and neighbors who are threatened with a violation of their rights by a neighboring construction project. Another important area of SCHLATTER's work is supporting municipalities and investors in complex large-scale projects that are to be enabled and regulated by urban development contracts.

In private construction and real estate law, SCHLATTER offers support from the very beginning of a construction or real estate project—for example, in the acquisition of land and the drafting of construction and architect contracts, project-related advice, the awarding of construction contracts, in the event of construction disruptions or addenda—through to project completion and the associated remuneration and fee issues. These tasks also include legal advice on follow-up care in the context of material defect liability and product liability.

Due to SCHLATTER's high level of expertise, the project teams are reinforced by SCHLATTER's partners specializing in tax law or commercial and corporate law when dealing with issues that span multiple areas of law, such as tax and corporate law in the formation or acquisition of project companies or the financing of real estate projects.
