Britta Schubel studied in Jena, completed her legal training in Heidelberg, and earned her doctorate with a thesis on extrajudicial conflict resolution/mediation. She joined the firm in 2000 and has been a partner since 2004.
Her extensive expertise in contractual and non-contractual matters in manufacturer and product liability law, in private construction law, and insurance law is complemented by completed technical vocational training in the field of power electronics.
In the field of product liability law she has been successfully advising and representing a large number of industrial B2B and B2C manufacturers for many years, particularly in matters relating to product development, the legal structuring of product documentation, product launches, product monitoring obligations, individual and serial damage claims, and any necessary recall campaigns, etc.
In connection with her many years of work in product liability law and experience in the field of construction products, another focus of Britta Schubel's work has emerged. As a specialist lawyer for construction and architectural law she advises and represents public and private clients and contractors in private construction law.
For many years, Britta Schubel has also been advising companies on insurance law issues. Through her long-standing cooperation with major insurers, she has specialized in particular in the field of technical insurance, representing their interests both in and out of court.
In addition, Britta Schubel deals in particular with questions and problems relating to contract drafting in Commercial law and the General Terms and Conditions.
Britta Schubel is a member of the German Association for Construction Law (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Baurecht e.V.), the German Bar Association (Deutscher Anwaltsverein), the Forum Bauanwälte e.V. (Forum for Construction Lawyers), and the Working Group for Private Construction Law of the Heidelberg Bar Association.
